It has been a few years since I last wrote here and a some readers might wonder what I’m up to nowadays. I have three main projects going on in my life right now:
Gardenscaping. I am studying to create gardens and given my background I am especially interested in the therapeutic aspects, of creating magical spaces, places for meditation, relaxation, interaction and such.
A shamans toolbox. I am collecting all my tools, insights and thoughts for personal and spiritual development into one book. The first draft is in Swedish but when I am done I will have it translated into English. I am still looking for test readers for the Swedish version. Check out: En shamans verktygslåda
Family. There is a new baby boy in my life and I very happy.
My first recorded song ever – a calming healing song in Swedish meant to remind us to relax and breathe when life is overwhelming.
A big thank you and a hug to everybody who has helped me!

Today is the Spring Equinox which is a time for endings and new beginnings, death and rebirth. We lay old projects to rest and see the first seedlings of new ones.
Today I will climb to the top of a hill together with friends, light a fire and we will all burn something from the past that we no longer need or want in our lives. Then we will wish for the new things we want to invite into our lives with the support or the energy of the Spring. Afterwards we’ll have a meditation, eat and talk about our new projects.
I have a couple of new projects that are yearning for my attention and also a few old ones that need to come to an end to make room for the new ones. This blog is one such thing that will be coming to an end. I have been writing it for two years now and it has been a great therapeutic tool and also a way to share and connect with others. I am truly grateful for the healing it has given me and also grateful for the wonderful people it has put me in contact with. Thank you everyone who has supported me such as Naysha, Azarius and Zamnesia. With a smile and a light heart I will now move on to other even more interesting projects.
I wish you all the best of luck with your projects and please feel free to get in contact with me with questions, thoughts, bookings, new friendships and such.
The angel walk is a wonderful exercise that I picked up from Natha yoga. It gives the participant a sensory overload of loving touch which often leads to an opening of the heart and an abundance of loving energy. It is best if you are quite a few participants; at least 15 or so.
Stand on two rows facing each other. There should be enough space between the two rows for a person to walk through it. At one end there is a sender and at the other a receiver. The sender should be someone who is confident and calm while the receiver should be someone who gives phenomenal hugs.
Before doing the actual exercise, have the master of ceremony explain what is going to happen and clearly state which level of intimacy is acceptable. Then lead the group in focusing their intention on unconditional love. Awaken the heart and bring that energy out to the hands.
Performing the angel walk
The sender takes the first participant and holds him/her from behind, preferably with hands over the heart to give an opening at the heart level. Tell the person to close his/her eyes and to keep them closed during the whole walk. When the person is ready (don’t rush this) send the person off to walk down the rows of people facing them. Walk very slowly.
The people standing in the rows gently, lovingly and appropriately caress the person walking down the line. In the mean time the sender takes the next participant and holds in the same way with eyes closed. Be calm and take your time. Let there be plenty of space between the participants when walking so that they get the full experience.
When the participant has come to the end of the line the receiver gives the person a long closing hug. After a while the person can open his/her eyes and stand last in line, caressing the participants coming after him/her.
Repeat until all the participants have done the angel walk at least once. The sender and receiver can also. Just have someone else fill those positions when doing so.
I was on my way to a meeting where I knew there would be a fierce debate, anger and resentment. Unfortunately I was in the middle of it all. On my way there I shut my eyes, meditated and then visualized hugging each and every one there. In my mind I lined up all the people that I held a grudge against and hugged them.
That meeting went far better than expected. The exercise took the edge off me, but on a subtle level it also seemed to have taken the edge off the opponents. It was as if I had actually hugged them.
Give it a try. Practice loving people. You just might be as positively surprised as I was.
Paying three Euros for a single ride at the children’s Tivoli felt like a total rip off. Three Euros for a ride that does absolutely nothing but go round in a circle for a few minutes. But as any good parent I payed the absurd sum and let her climb into a silly little car.
She rode the ride and every time she came around she waved to me. She was smiling and laughing and I was so utterly filled with joy seeing her so happy that I couldn’t buy more tickets fast enough. I had found my new favourite ride at the entire place and I was happy just standing there handing over tickets for three Euros a piece.
I have mentioned earlier that having children really opens up the heart chakra. Many people suffer from being closed off at this level. They are envious, jealous and closed hearted. They can’t stand seeing someone else being successful or happy when they themselves are not. There are certainly parents and partners that are envious or jealous of children, that have a hard time seeing even children being loved and happy, but for most people having children will challenge them to overcome that. They can’t help being filled with joy when they see their child happy. For some that might actually be the first time they can look at another human without underlying resentment.
For those that choose to heal and grow it will open their eyes to see other people in the same light. It will make them all the more capable to be happy for other peoples success, to genuinely wish them well in life and to smile when they smile.
Is it cheating to use psychedelics in the pursuit of personal and spiritual growth?
Plant teachers and psychedelic medicines are part of an especially powerful spiritual path that only few can handle. They aren’t for everyone, just as tantra or vipassana meditation isn’t for everyone. It is a genuine path of healing and spiritual growth that has been around for longer than any religion we have today and that has at some point in time been part of the practice of all of them. They are at the very core of the mystical experience that once upon a time gave birth to religions, although those religions have since fundamentally perverted the insights given. Psychedelics are the tools of healers, shamans, witches, visionaries, psychonauts, spiritual explorers and messengers. They are tools of change and enlightenment, of love and transcendence. They are catalysts of evolution and reconnect people to the source.
Generally speaking we get what we expect because when we expect something we will be on the lookout for that experience and we will interpret things with a bias towards what we expect.
With that in mind let me say a few words about drug education in Sweden (although I guess this to be true in many countries). The drug education in Sweden is nothing less than fear mongering propaganda. The entire focus of the education is on dangers, which are either extremely exaggerated or just outright lies. Anyone who uses any substance, no matter how often or why, will be labelled an addict and other views are strictly oppressed. As if that wasn’t bad enough Swedish drug education never teaches people how to handle bad experiences.
So what does all this lead to?
Well, if you are expecting a bad experience you are much more likely to have one, so what the propaganda machine is actually doing is programming people to be afraid and thus making them more susceptible to bad experiences. And when people occasionally do have bad experiences they are not at all equipped to handle them. Now if that isn’t an asshole move I don’t know what is.
Luckily most of us weren’t actually paying attention during class. Looking back I have realized that my drug education didn’t come from school. It came from The Beatles. They didn’t actually talk a lot about drugs, but they sure showed us what great creative fun they can be when done properly.
– What is the best thing about being human?
– It is to capture the energy.
– What energy?
– The energy you use to play and write and so on. But the very best thing about being human is loving each other.
Sometimes talking to my five year old can be a little like going to a satsang. The difference being that there are no pretentious wishy washy egos around, no white robes and no holy ideas that must be upheld. I trust this guru.
